Two Taylors... four rings. According to CelebrityCarsBlog, Twilight teen wolf Taylor Lautner ditched his BMW 5 series and pulled out a white Audi R8 for a date with pop star Taylor Swift. Nice choice on the red leather Taylor.
I recently bought the Novmember issue of Seventeen(I'm an obcessed Kristen Stewart fan-she was on the cover-and I'm a fan of the Twilight books and movies), and Taylor(Lautner, that is) admitted that he aspired to own a R8.
And there's quite an Audi owners' poplulation in the Twilight Saga cast ranks. As mentioned before, Ashley Greene owns an Audi Q5, Nikki Reed owns an Audi Q7 TDI, and Rob Pattinson rents or owns an B7 Audi S4. Sadly, my fav Kristen is out of that loop-she owns one of the BMW-era Mini Coopers.
Maybe Audi should do a marketing tie-in for Breaking Dawn. But if that doesn't happen, I've spent my free time writing Twilight stories for friends and as an adult, Renesmee Cullen owns an Audi A3, A4, and drove in one story a rented Audi R8 V10-which she buys one of those later, and interestinlgy, become the only person to privately own an Audi R15...

The only thing in that photo that I can stand is the R8. Can't stand Twilight, can't stand Taylor Swift. Even so, I hate it when good cars are turned into status symbols.

I can't say I'm a fan of either, but the car's popularity I see as a strength. For one, it raises Audi's exposure and thus Audi's stock. More sales equals more product and more selection for Audi enthusiasts.
That and if Twilight fans discover that some of the actors that play some of their favorite characters drive/own an Audi, it's free advertisment for Audi-hell, Volvo is spending money endorsing the New Moon movie-just see their latest add.
At least this can be seen as free advertisment for Audi, even if you hate the books.
