The Siegen-based Audi expert B&B (Tel. 0271 / 30323-0 - http://www.bb-automobiltechnik.de ), perfects the actuel version of the TT. Performance values, which normally are preserved by high class sports cars, can be reached in 3 different stages (306, 324 and 362 hp). The acceleration duration 0-100km/h is lowered to an enormous value of 4.6 seconds in the final stage - while Vmax level is on 280km/h. To reach these performance values, B&B mounts a special turbo loader, a sport exhaust system with a special pre exhaust system and a high performance sports catalyst as well as an electronical tuning, perfectly harmonizing with these components. Additional to this, the air intake system and air cooling system gets prepared and replaced. To keep oil temperature on the right level, B&B offers a special slim-line oil cooling system, to meet the tuned engine's requirements perfectly.
Not sure what's worse - that it's an ad posing as an article, or how absolutely repulsive that thing looks.
We run releases from the German tuner houses so that our readers know what is out there. Press releases are generally ads posing as an article. That's partially the point.
That said, body kits are certainly a subjective call. One man's hot is another man's repulsive. That said, I'm happy that the Audi aftermarket is as rich as it is to have so many offerings. I've been working on finding some tuners for less-thought-of brands for Motive's (www.motivemag.com) photo galleries and you're lucky to find anything but those uber-cheap and cheesy kits for some brands.
I tend to go more OEM+ myself and thus usually only use partsbin bits, but this kit is interesting to me in some ways. I don't like the faux-blade trying to look like the R8, but I am impressed by the injection moulded grilles as many body kits, including some of the best looking out there, only use that mesh that doesn't look very factory.
Without the blade and with some factory wheels on it, this kit would be pretty subtle. I wish the gaping front R8-style intakes would line up with the headlight's outer edge, but otherwise the remaining lines would be quite clean and OE-inspired.
do you think some of the mechanical mods will be available for US TTS cars? i'm sure with the factory k04, upgraded internals and intercooler, you can push 330hp fairly easily
i doubt a K04 will hit 330 hp. regardless of what else is going on, the little guy can only spin so fast and physically push out on SO much air. I bet the TTS maxes out at 300hp w/o a new turbo.
