I enjoy Wired, but generally speaking, anything they say about cars is baloney.

True. As Edmunds said, bad publicity is still publicity.

I would love to see the Tesla happen. I probably drive more than 10 miles in a trip 4 or 5 times a month at the most. A 40-50 mile range car that looked cool and didn't require liquid fuel fill-ups would be great.

If you engineer for stupid, they will just build a better stupid.

Hey, have you heard that some people don't want to move to California and that you can see the Stig on Google maps?

Bah, Wired might not be a so-called car rag..but even they can see the writing on the wall: the Tesla's gonna flop so hard the EV-1 feels it.

But, you know what? It's still a Ferrari. Like pizza and sex, a really ****ty Ferrari is better than no Ferrari at all.

The car was hyped up to an inch of its life, and then the delivery date was blown. That, and the company has had lots of internal strife, such as the firing of its founder.

GM would be wise to take this as a caution as it continues to promote its Volt program.

If GM screws up the Volt Bob Lutz will be forced to retire.

The Tesla banner is real. It came loose in the wind, and was flapping against passing vehicles yesterday!
