One need look no further than the Autobahn to ascertain that Germany is one of the most car-focused societies going. In a land where a speed-no-limit road system defines priorities, it’s no surprise that the Frankfurt International Auto Show is the largest and craziest of the breed – several industry shows within an industry show. With those sorts of event credentials and a home field advantage, it’s also no surprise that Frankfurt is perhaps the most important show stage for Audi and its parent the Volkswagen Group.
I'll say the same! Looks like you got some better lenses, too, as I'm seeing less and less blurry photos.
But yeah, somehow I'm just not excited about all these new luxo cars. Motoring is getting more and more expensive in Europe, for example here they're planning to raise tax on both diesel and gasoline. Additionally our annual car taxes are going to be CO2 emission based (though with ridiculously small additional penalty to gas guzzlers). None of this go-fast-stuff is really interesting to me anymore, what really intrigues me is a torqueous diesel with CO2 emissions just over 100 g/km. Let's see more of that!

hey, fake wimbledon, how about you leave the news to wimbledon?
wimbledon, can you make a thread about this, so i can read it?
No kidding. I have several friends who are ready to pitch a fit over the tax increase. When I lived in Spain a few years ago I thought the taxes for everything were horrific, cars especially. It seems to be getting worse.
In Germany, in particular, I can see the point of revolt coming on the issue of taxes. They are oppressive.
