Okay, I think I owe Patrick Hespen at Audi PR a beer. When Autocar showed photos last week of a white "TT-RS Test Mule", I smugly pointed out to him that the chin was ever so subtly different and that naysayers to Autocar's theory on its mule status should think twice. Like many of you, Mr. Hespen replied, "It's just an S-line".
Well, in fairness to Autocar, it could have been a mule, though on the outside it was straight-up new S-line with exterior package.
Where I made my mistake was assuming the S-line had already been shown. I should have remembered Audi AG does both interior S-line packages and full interior/exterior S-line packages. They released pictures of the latter late yesterday.
There's been no text released as of late on this particular package, but the pictures speak volumes. Note the larger and more defined lower air inlets on each side of the front bumper. Note too the carbon-fiber valance at the rear, and lip spoiler at the center of the car's chin.
Inside, there's a new all-leather flat-bottomed wheel with the S-line logo that I'm sure S-line owners of cars throughout the Audi range will be salivating over.
We've added every photo released thus far to our gallery, with a link to it below the following exterior detail shots. For more photos, follow that link at the bottom of this post.
