We just posted our coverage of the 2006 Chicago Auto Show. The main event was the new Titanium Package for the A4 S-line. Also worth checking out are the base wheels (first time shown) on the S6.
That's a really nice package - if I didn't already have an A4, I'd definitely do it. But I really still think Audi needs to put a sportier seat in theses things...
I can't quite tell from the picture (and/or my Powerbook monitor), but is that the basic silver color, or is that too a (new?) titanium shade for this new package? I assume the package really just means the new black parts listed and you can do it with any color you could before, but this car color looks good.
I also wonder if this package will trickle down to the A3...
What a letdown. I just got home from the Chicago Auto show. Audi's display had no A4 cabrios and not a TT in sight, no coupe, no roadster. I was told that this was because those models were being replaced soon. But to the casual passers-by, it seems like Audi only makes four door sedans. However, I must admit the new S6 was yummy.
Also, there was no RoadJet concept on display, as was promised on the Chicago Auto Show website. No Audi concepts at all. We always get the raw deal here in Chicago. The makers premiere the new cars and the concepts in Detroit, and then only show us the run of the mill inventory.
At least VW had the New EOS, GTI and Golf on display, so it wasn't a total loss. (Although they weren't demonstrating the top on the EOS. They said the battery didn't have enough power. Yeah. Whatever.)
