 Thus far in its evolution, Project A3 DSG has focused on exterior modifications like its Schmidt Wheels and Nothelle body treatment, or on performance with components such as the APR exhaust, KW Coilovers and ECS Tuning big brake kit. With the show season officially over, it was time to turn to the car’s interior, focusing on the details and creature comforts. The A3 is still a relatively new car to the US market, and there just isn’t much available for it yet, especially for the inside. Over the last few months, a collection of OEM bits from the corporate parts bin has been gathered to start the interior makeover, and we think you’ll like the results. Full Story

Brian bought them used, and I'd say at an exceptionally good price. The trick is finding a set, and then obviously getting a reasonable cost associated with it. I don't think it'll be that easy to replicate the price, but you never know. You might check parts yards for wrecked S4s such as http://www.copartfinder.com

It says they activated the opening and closing of the windows using the key fob. Is this like the MK4 VWs where you put the key in the door and turn it or where you hold down the lock or unlock button on the fob and they will open or close?

yes,you can do a search and find out how to do it using the VAG-com or at your dealership. takes all of about 3 minutes to do. and yes the seats were truely a great price and a must do.

leathers dont match yet, but who looks at the back seat anyhow?i will probably either get the stitching redone on the recaro's to match the rear seats, or do a dark grey alcantara on front and rear plus the stitching on the fronts to get a total match. and to date, no one has even noticed the types of leather front and rear don't match. quite frankly i never notice it because i am never in the back seat. i wasnt going to be a baby and cry about leather not matching when i had the chance of recaro's for $500. sorry to "offend" you.

Brian, what about the door inserts, steering wheel, handbrake, and armrest. They would be much more noticable being right next to the front seats. How far off is the color, do you have a good comparison shot.

its not that the color is off, but the Recaro's are Nappa leather, which is a lot smoother and has almost no grain in it. so it looks lighter but it is still the same Ebony/black color. just looks different because of the grain.
