Hey guys and gals, I recently repaired a 2.0t (early version, non valve lift) due to a broken cam chain tensioner, as you could expect, cam adjuster, tensioner, chain, adjuster bolt and 2 intake valves took a dump, long story short I replaced all, rebuilt head etc. But I have some codes:

I bought this car for dirt cheap and I have zero info on previous maintenance so I have been doing a lot to it, it is a 06 A4 2.0t s-line, everything is really nice except the problems above.

So far besides fixing/rebuilding the top end I have done:

-new oil separator and all pcv hoses
      -new coilpacks
      -new spark plugs
      -new oil filter
      -new VVT solenoid (n205)

I am wondering if I have a cam timing issue, or a HPFP issue. My manual literally only says to make sure cam lobes on cyl. 4 should be pointing up and inwards and has a tiny picture as example, timing marks all align fine, engine turned fine and without issues by hand, runs good but has some idle issues. I am puzzled.

      Anyone has some input?

There is a Tsb/ Ts for the P310B Dtc. If you can not find it PM and I can send it to you via email.

As for the misfire dtc swap coils 4 and 3 see if misfire goes over to 3.

I found the TSB! Thanks! I am going to check the car today, also I did move the coils but I get both misfire codes, multiple and cyl 4.

Did you forget to clear the dtc after swapping the coils. If you did then swap spark plug 4 to 3 clear dtc and see if misfire codes come back or watch for misfires with Vcds in engine control module.

ok, switched coils and cleared DTC's, no more misfires!

But the fuel pump codes keep coming back after some driving around the block... Now, I remember the previous owner (older lady) said she personally changed the intank fuel pump, and it seems like non original Audi/VW pumps trigger this DTC too?

I am going to follow the instructions on the TSB, luckly I found a low miles working HPFP and I will test it, and test the LP fuel sensor as well, after that I guess the only thing left to do would be the intank pump, And damn, almost $300 for that..
