Hey guys, I have been frying my brain over this S243 issue with my AWP 1.8t. Thus far I have disconnected.
      -front/rear o2 sensors
      -N112(removed/resistored)
      -J229 (replaced)
      -MAF
      -N80(removed/resistored)
      -Leak detection pump

The fuse immediately shorts when the key is turned to "on" position with all these accesories removed. I also noticed when i pulled J271 (relay label 428, ECM Power Supply) the fuse does not short. I have some diagram references from my haynes manual as they are not very helpful though. Could anyone suggest a path to take next. My ECM should be sound, no exposure to water etc., butanyway to test it as well? Thanks

As of today, checked both heater wires to o2 sensors. Cut and replaced both heater wires as they did have openings throughout the wire jacket, yet still no improvement. Any suggestions now? thanks!

UPDATE FIXED: replaced j271/j299 and disconnected bank1/2 oxygen sensor. Fuse intact with start....bank 1 oxygen sensor internal short causing the slew of short to ground codes. Hopefully this will help someone in the future.

Also forgot to add I found 3 shorts in the o2 heater wire circuit (red/blue stripe). Pulled and ran new wires as well! Unresolved threads suck.
