Last I was there I spent an hour in the McLaren dealer. Other than that, you'll be seeing plenty of exotics just walking about. Although the summer is when the Arabs make their presence, so you may not see many exotics.

If you want a bit of a laugh, check out the London motor museum. It's not in the city, but a fairly short train ride outside of the city proper. I had some fun checking out the cars I saw by the us embassy, of all places.

Mega exotic cars dealers there. Just google them. I was on a bus once and saw an Enzo in a show room. No big deal! There is a huge amount of high end automobiles there. Have your camera ready

Off topic, but if you like airplanes, the RAF Air Museum is a short train ride, and well worth it.

I remember leaving Heathrow, getting situated at the flat and then wandering around the area around Thames and just seeing a TVR Tuscan as soon as I walked off the bus. This was back in 2002 so even seeing a 360 Spyder was a big deal for 14 year old me, I remember taking pictures of it and then stopped by the Aston Martin dealer and grabbed a few pictures and the first time ever seeing a McLaren F1 was at their dealership and I was shocked that it was the size of a mid 90s Accord.

Take a ride in an iconic black London cab. It's a simple thing but iconic and worth riding in at least once.

I was in London a couple years ago for work and spent an evening walking around a few dealerships.

Last time I was there, I saw a Lamborghini dealer in Kensington. Other than that, I got nothing aside from seeing high-end and exotics street parking.

Echo SoS's recommendation on the RAF Museum. Imperial War Museum is pretty neat, too.

So, for car spotting, head to the Knightsbridge area?

London film museum in Covent Garden has the largest collection of James Bond vehicles....in the world.

I'd also recommend taking a bike tour of the city. It's basically a group tour lead by a guide and you ride around a bit as you look at some neat places/learn some history. Great way to spend an afternoon.

This wasn't exactly the best week to be in London.

OP, you close to any of that horribleness that went down?

London is the city that I enjoyed most visiting - twice. Like 170 museums.
