will the BBC America Top gear be the exact same as the BBC UK one? or are they going to cut segments out etc.

Also, anyplace to watch this online? I dont have BBC America as part of my package, otherwise Id record it and happily watch this.

      Who is Rory Reid?

I consider myself a car guy and an Anglophile, yet I had never heard of him before the Top Gear reboot.

How many people knew James May before he joined Top Gear in 1999?

He was a writer for Autocar And Motor magazine, so my guess is quite a few.

Yeah I'd say he was decently well known. Also his firing was pretty hilarious, big news.

Same with Hammond. He had a ton of different venues.

I think these three could actually put together something decent to watch. Last season sucked. I for one would like to have this and TGT to watch. If they don't try to step on each others toes we could end up with two very entertaining car shows.
      I drive a car.

He was doing on-line reviews for Recombu.com and was on BBC Radio on Sunday mornings. Chris Evans plucked him from there to help on Top Gear and IMHO, Rory needs to thank Evans for that big break.

      Anybody watched it tonight?

James McAvoy to Chris Harris: "How long are you planning to be a virgin?"

And oh, they also have a new reasonably priced car. But now it's a reasonably fast car. While they were describing the new car before unveiling it, I guessed it right!

I was very impressed. I liked it better than most of the Grand Tour episodes. It was an actual car show with some funny moments without constant scripted BS.

This is me watching any movie and there is an inconsistency with the cars lol.

I honestly love the dynamics of these 3.

I enjoyed the fresh reboot from that disaster that was series 23

Glad the old TG track is back and also liked that they went with a fast car for the celebrities. I thought Chris Harris instructing James McAvoy was hilarious.

The Kazakhstan challenge was good too

      Also, that Ferrari FXXK

Much improved from the Evans detour. Less "Haha" funny than TGT (at least thus far), but I think the end result of the "fracas" is that we now have two quality motoring shows
