Morning, my apologies if re-posting this here is I'm violating any forum rules, but I didn't get any responses in the Cabrio Forum and I could use the help.
I’m in the process of replacing a driver’s side fender on my 2001 Cabby and I need a little advice.
After removing all the inner and outer bolts holding the fender on the donor car, I found the lower right, at the bottom of the wheel opening, a little difficult separating from the car. Eventually I was able to wiggle the fender loose and I noticed next to the bolt hole is a tang that looks like it was bent from getting the fender loose. It looks like the tang and bolt hole are sandwiched between the lower plastic trim piece.
Since I don’t want to damage the replacement fender, can anybody here lend me some advice or hints on the correct fitting of a fender?
Thanks
Gene
