      So Audi will sell you a Q7 Quattro 2.0T, but the Atlas 2.0T is FWD only?

      Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the competition that does have a smaller base engine is only on base trim in FWD only. I think the Highlander is too.

      Oh, VW is bringing something interesting with a decent engine instead of all the small turbo 4-pots?

      Oh wait, US market only.

      Would've loved this here in Germany. Would've been even better with the 4.2 TFSI installed in various Audis and the Phaeton. Same peeve I have about the Amarok. If the Amarok came with the 4.2, I'd have already signed up for one.

      That feeling you have right now? Multiply it by a factor of 100 and spread it out over 70 years and you'll get a sense of what it feels like being a VW fan in the US.

      This may actually be on my radar now. Nice interior, folding ability with a car seat in place is an awesome feature I'd get a lot of use from. Pretty good size trunk with the 3rd row up. I like the chiseled look and think it would age well in the world of swoopy, and sloped hatch /SUV's. A lot more usable room than some other competitors and I do like the LED DRL/Headlight/Taillight combo.

      My only gripe would be no TSI motor, I'd want a V6. I own a 2.0T and while it's been pretty good it has had it's random and irritating flaws and issues. I'd rather have a smooth V6 turning away with minor maintenance nightmares down the road associated with turbos that I am not convinced have reached 100k 10 year status. Meaning they are good to "own" as they age in terms of reliability and maintenance costs.

      Maybe it will "age well" because it already looks old and cheap, so it will just continue to look old and cheap. Another underwhelming effort from VWNA from a desirability standpoint, but it's undoubtedly a great family car.

      This vehicle would have been great with the 2.0 biTDI available in the EU Passat. But VR6 is still a nice choice

      Yeah this seems like a huge mistake. Seems like this 2.0 is the same as the Q7 2.0 difference in HP would be 87 vs premium? Would like a 4 motion version of the vw 2.0 with an APR 2.0 87 octane tune around 280 HP and 325 torques. That would be compelling.....
