certainly better than this seasons TGUK.
Also, History is pretty ridiculous lately. It's like the new TLC or Discovery: all fluff.
Granted, TGUS is fluff, but at least it was entertaining.

I wish I could say I have never seen it. It is pretty terrible. No surprises here why its getting the axe.

when it comes to car shows, it's one of the few that aren't completely scripted "reality" style or just plain boring. I'm actually surprised it didn't last. the chemistry between the guys came together, and while kinda formulaic in structure (wacky challenge of the week), it was at least entertaining and well produced. i'll miss it.

I haven't actually watched it in years. They seemed to have a lot of fun making it though.

I'll look for this (final?) season when it airs.

cant say I'm upset about this, because I'm def. not. this show was a joke, written and everything to "compare" to the original UK version and they did a terrible job at it. bring upon a brand new concept, don't try to reinvent the already perfect wheel (the original cast of TGUK)...despite this fact, the new TGUK is leaps and bounds worse than even TGUS, and it looks as though that is already crumbling still being in the intro season

      end rant,

As someone that has always liked TG US more than Hammond/May/Clarkson TG UK (haven't even bothered to watch the new TG UK), I hope someone picks it up.

When was the last time you actually watched TGUS? They evolved the classic formula a LOT and pretty quickly. Found their own style and have been producing a show that stands on it's own two feet and is very entertaining.

you should give it another chance. I thought the first season was pretty painful, but they changed the format so that it's basically just one big challenge and maybe a car "review" of Tanner doing laps/drifting/etc. It's pretty entertaining if you are into cars, imo. It's not automotive shakespeare, but neither was TGUK. I will be sad if it doesn't live on. I had thought for an evolution of the show if it didn't pan out on network TV would be to transition to youtube. They could keep the challenge format going and include tuners, mechanics, speed shops, and enthusiasts into the mix. Something like "hot laps, hot hatch, coast to coast" tuners and enthusiasts drive from Miama to LA stopping at various tracks for a mixture of motorsports and silly challenges." I think something like that would be pretty cool, but i'm not a producer, no idea if it's viable.

to a great run Rut, Tanner, and Adam.
      signatures are annoying, right?

That really is too bad, TGUS has gotten better over the years and it seems like they have a good working chemistry on the show.

      This!

TG USA was a fantastic spin off of the original IMO... All three worked together really well. I usually came away laughing through most of each episode it was that good.

Too bad they're ending it, probably going to replace it with some sad excuse for a show about preggo teens or digging for gold nonsense
