Good find on the soft dash classic, especially in LWB trim. Looks like you've found a unicorn. LMK if you want to take the truck out and play in the dirt. I try to get out into the sticks at least once a month.
Once I get it lifted a bit, I'm definitely down!

Yeah, I'm definitely nervous about that as well. Mine still has a functioning OEM heated windshield. From what I've read, the 92-97 Defender windshields are a direct fit.

As far as headlights, I swapped mine for a set of ecodes from a Benz 123.
Thanks! Mine came with a nice set of IPF e-codes. I want to replace them with some Hellas to add the city light.

Does the rear driveshaft have the guibo/rotoflex coupler between it and the rear diff? If so you should also look into swapping it out for a 4 bolt flange and a non rotoflex driveshaft.
      Good info, thanks!

The plan is to get some Terra Firma 2" springs. I'll look into the other items as well.

      A small update.

Stayed late at work last night with my newly purchased Conair clothing steamer. The idea of using ammonia and garbage bags in the sun just wasn't my cup of tea. The brittle, bubbly purple drank tint came off easier than I'd imagined.

Also picked up an uber rare OEM polished aluminum brush bar. I'll most likely plasti-dip it back to black if the '90s Golden-Era iciness of it doesn't flow.

To the naysayers who swear that the only way to get really old tint off is with razor blades. Steamers work, so:

      Much better now:

OP - way to go on not waiting! I just missed an immaculate old Mercedes because I didn't respond as quickly as you did. Well done.

I have used a steamer in the past to peel tint and it worked fine. The rear window is tricky with the defrost lines but it's manageable. I always liked this body style of Range Rovers though I know absolutely nothing about them other than the 'maintenance nightmare' sentiment. Enjoy it!

      Looks great...nice find!

I went wheeling one time at Isham Canyon (Panamint Valley, CA) with one that had a partial exoskeleton, 350 swap, and 37s...pretty crazy.

Id skip the Terrafirma Springs and go with the Old Man Emus. Better quality and better spring rates. Dont buy TF shocks under any circumstances, the quality is suspect to say the least hearing from a few friends that have run them and end up swapping them out for Bilstiens or OME's after the TF's blew. Too bad you didn't get it a week earlier, I have a newer set of OME springs that I just picked up for my D1 and was going to replace the OME's I have on there currently (heavier duty to carry more load) but I've already committed to selling them to a friend.

LMK if you want to talk shop, I'm in the Pasadena area.
