Anyone staying outside of Helen?

I have rooms booked, 2 in Helen, 2 about 20 minutes away. The guys I'm going with are leaning toward the one far away, as they don't want their car messed with at all. Any thoughts? I kind of want to tell them to suck it up, I want to be near the party

Like someone else mentioned, I guess they just heard about last years stories of people's cars being messed with in parking lots. I mean, I doubt there's anything that can be easily taken off my beetle that anyone would want, but you never know. From what I understand, we can leave our cars parked across the river this year and be shuttled back to the hotel so it shouldn't be an issue anyway?

It happened last year.

They stole my valve stem caps and attempted to get my base bars off.

They also stole a lot of center caps.

That is so awesome for you guys to do that. Looks like ill be trying to convince the boys to stay in Helen. Is it May yet??

With security in place overnight and the entire show site lit up like the face of the sun, if you're worried about vandalism you should park overnight.
