I missed out one NHT 3.3 years ago and now I'm looking for similar. What options are out there?

I've always liked the acoustic suspension design of those old NHTs. I've found Emotiva Reference, but haven't heard them yet. I like Definitive Technology's BP 7000 super towers. Anymore?

My absolute all time favorite NHT speaker. I heard these perform once and my word
The size are very unique, slim and very very deep, you'll surely need the space. I currently have 2.3's on the same stands in my home theater, had them since 2001 and they are still awesome performers at a fraction of the 3.3's price.

      On the level of 3.3's you're looking at ML Request / B&W Nautilus 800, 801's / Wilson Watt Puppy/ Aerial Acoustics / Vienna Acoustics/ Dynaudio Contour 3.3

Of course the price points will be all over the place (high - higher). But the above speakers will put you in the same tier of quality sound as the 3.3's if not better.

I've heard nothing but the highest of praise for Salk Songtowers with the ribbon tweeter.

Edit: Just realized Ascend finally released their tower. Do want.

Yeah, the 3.3s are very nice speakers, though I'm not sure they are quite at the same level as some of the other speakers mentioned, all things considered.

The BP 7000s would definitely be worth considering. I personally like the Totem Forest. Monitor Audio probably has a speaker or two that you might like in your price range. I wonder if Dynaudio may be something to consider as well. Lots of choices out there.

Why not just search out a pair of 3.3's?

I see them FS here on Craigslist about 2x/year.

I have an NHT system for my home theatre--Super Two's for mains, Super One's for surround, and a SuperCenter. I'd love to upgrade to 3.3's when my space (and amplifier budget) permits.

There is a pair of 2.9's on my local Craigslist right now:

I have NHT 3.3 speakers I was thinking of selling. They are currently being driven by a Pass Labs amp @ 350 watts / channel. I am the original owner of the the NHT 3.3 's from the factory.

Here is your chance - should we talk more ?

      Please reply

Rob, I would definitely take you up on those 3.3's if you still have them.
