A4/B5 Front Adjustable Control Arms

Audi A4/S4/RS4/A6/RS6 and VW Passat B5 Adjustable Front Upper Control Arms

BY FAR – THE BEST VALUE IN ADJUSTABLE CONTROL ARMS ON THE MARKET !

You asked GruvenParts.com for affordable, bulletproof, and fully rebuildable Audi A4/S4/RS4/A6/RS6 and VW Passat B5 Adjustable Front Upper Control Arms and we have delivered!

Just like the GruvenParts.com popular TT/R32 rear adjustable control arms, we designed these based on years of fabricating rock crawler suspension systems for racers and weekend warriors alike. They are made from a special aircraft grade of 4130 chrominum-molybdenum alloy and then powder coated in high gloss black for maximum durability. The AMERICAN MADE racing heim joints are CAD plated, PTFE lined, and can be ordered with dust boots all around for those planning to re-enact a Grouppe B Ralley race. Finally, all parts are fully rebuildable.

Don’t waste your hard earned money with the over-priced competitor versions. The quality and performance of the GruvenParts.com adjustable upper control arms are second to none!

These come as a set of 4 and fit the following models :

Audi A4/S4/RS4 – 1996-2008 (B5, B6, B7, C5)
Audi A6/RS6 (incl. AllRoad) - 1998-2004
VW Passat - 1998-2005

This product replaces OEM Part Numbers 8E0-407-505C, 8E0-407-505A, 8E0-407-506C, 8E0-407-506A, 8E0-407-509C, 8E0-407-509A, 8E0-407-510A (and possibly others). (8E0407505C, 8E0407505A, 8E0407506C, 8E0407506A, 8E0407509C, 8E0407509A, 8E0407510A)

The hype made it seem like they were going to be a lot cheaper than $400.00

The TT and R32 parts used as examples were in the $200.00 range. To be honest, $75.00 cheaper than the competition isn't really "blowing the competition out of the water"

the reason the price for the tt/r32 is only 200 bucks, is because that includes 2 arms.

you need 4 to have it fully adjustable, these control arms are on the same price point as those.. you just get 4 arms, instead of 2

also,
stern arms are $600
034's are $525
and the cpp arms were around $600 also when you could still get them

so id say the price is pretty good

There has been GB's on the Stern for $500 and 034 for $475 both including free ground shipping in the USA.

As it was pointed out, the R32/TT arms are $249.99 for 2 and $469.00 for 4.

For the A4 front suspension, you need 4 arms, this price is LESS expensive than R32/TT.

Some other things to keep in mind :

The heims on these are not readily available off the shelf.

These require custom manufactured hardened steel end pins

Everything is fully rebuildable

A boot kit is available

Price is a good bit less than competition

I * PROMSE* when you see these parts, you are going to wonder how we can sell at this price. Very little margin in it, but we want to break into this market. I would expect pricing on this product to increase from this introduction, this is nearly the material and machine time cost alone.

Can you explain why one ball joint is so much longer than the other? stock ones already can hit the chassis. with such a long ball stud, it's going to be so much easier for them to hit the chassis during a hard bump. Plus the geometry is going to change considerably due the angle on those ball joints.

there's a reason the stock arms have a bump stop on the ball joint end.

Mike I will update the picture, the pins installed in that picture are longer than the final design. It doesnt hit the chassis. The reason for the height offset is because at full turn lock the heim body actually contacts the jam nut, so we have to offset 1 slightly. I will update the picture soon to show the correct pin length.
