i know i know i know they say not to reuse them but i NEED my head back on i need a DD so i can get to work and such and dont have the money or time to wait and get new head bolts. so i want some insight on if anyone has ever reused stretch bolts and the out come because i did read up on it and it says they dontRECOMMEND IT but they are reusable but may crack....so please any insight or should i just take the shaft and wait?
i have heard of people doing it.. i dunno about with the head bolts... but ive read a lot of threads where people reuse the flywheel bolts..personally i wouldnt.. just go to the dealer and get some
if you know for a fact that the head bolts have been torqued once, go ahead. I've done it without issues. I believe you can install the arp's without having to replace the headgasket, haven't done that though, I'm still using stock head bolts.
