Im trying to put together car options for my aunt and she needs a car with power adjustable pedals (she is very short).

All I know of are the Taurus, SUVs and now the Kia Optima (2010). Anything else that Im missing? Preferably sedans.

      TIA.

Look ( http://www.cars.com/go/criteri....html ) half way down the page you can select under power equipment cars that have power adjustable pedals.

My mother's old 2000 Taurus had them. I would always use the switch to brake and accelerate when traffic allowed. It was a hoot keeping my foot stationary and using the switch.

Another option is a fully adjustable steering column that can telescope which quite a few late model cars have.

Some, like the C5 4.2 I drive, have a power adjustable steering column that's controlled by a little joystick which can suit up to three different drivers via a memory recall function.

why power pedals? does she grow and shrink each day?

She's fat and short, so she can't pull her seat up close to the steering wheel. Therefore needs the pedals to move closer to the seat.

My 2005 Grand Cherokee has them. I think many other mid/top range Chryslers have them.

Bumping this old thread for new and improved answers. Wife is really short, and I'm looking for alternatives to keep the steering wheel airbag away from her face, while keeping her comfortable while driving. It's indeed a challenge!

      Edit:
Eh. I found these. Seems like it could be an option perhaps.

How short? My mom is 5' and loves Volvo's because they fit her well... somehow they also fit very tall drivers well too. The seats and steering wheels have a large range of adjustment (the lower seat cushion has a huge range, making it have great thigh support for any size driver).

Ford's for sure have power pedals on many models.

I wouldn't scratch cars off a list for not having them - some cars are really well designed for shorter drivers. Try a Honda CRV. I have only 31" inseam legs and I feel very cramped in the front seats... might be a really good vehicle for a short person.
