Thread: rev limiter

    i've searched a bit and havent found anything on INSTALLING a rev limiter.

    and if anyone can point me in the direction of one that will work with my car, 2003 vw jetta awp,

    maestro tuning suite maff-less, aeb head w/ ie valve train, st intake/exhaust valves, awp block w/ ie rods and forged weisco pistons/ ie rods, pte 5857jb, cts 750hp fmic, tial q bov, re-built tranny w/peloquin lsd, clutch masters stage 4 clutch kit, walboro 255lph to ie surge tank w/bosch 300lph to ie fuel rail w/ 870cc siemen deka, aem w/m is set-up for direct injection, w/devils own #2 injectors, aem ebc, and many more.

    Doesn't your software have a rev limiter? Or can't you set one up using lemmiwinks or unisettings? I'm not sure...... Just thinking out loud.

    probly but i want to be able to set it lower than what it is now.

    you know how your all in the MOMENT, i just want to be sure i dont hurt anything if i go to far with the rpm.

    what is the purpose to replace the valves and lifters and such?

    you WONT cause any damage at that rpm... its a conservative rev limit as it is

    Rev limiters are for grandpas and grandmas
    and for children who are beginner drivers.

    yes, your rev limiter is your RIGHT FOOT.

    you want to explain to us what you expect to gain and accomplish with a rev limiter?

    LOL were you watching when the toyota prius reved out of control, and now you think you need one????? haha...

    what are you talking about.. they have rev limiters stock 7200 rpm.. obviously youve never found it so leave this guys thread and go back to the emkay forums
