Talented photoshop illustrator Hans Zwijnenburg has sent us more images of his impressions of the upcoming TTS. Hans actually sent these weeks ago, and things have been so busy at our offices, we've just now gotten them into our photo galleries. Our thanks to Hans for his patience.
In that time, we've heard from even more sources that the I5 turbo in development for the TTRS is not imaginary and weighs in at about 350hp. A TTS version is expected to use a the hotter version of the 2.0T, similar to that of the S3. In the S3, the motor is worth 260hp, though it could be even more in the TTS.
See more of Hans' images here...

The 2.5T would be a great motor for the B8 S4 as well.

Knowing the S5 is FSI V8, I doubt the S4 will be anything but. That doesn't mean the engine wouldn't find its way into a longitudinal application, but I doubt it'll be badged S4.

True: I guess they would likely want to keep the S4, a V8
-Considering a NA V8 would (continue to) pull some potential 335 buyers; who traditionally are not fond of turbos.
But a 350hp 2.5T S4 would definitely continue to bring some more "emotion" to the brand.
-Just don't think most would pay the premium for the S4, over the 335 (if it was down on displacement).
"I" just know a 2.5T is the right thing for the S4

      I dont understand the logic of a TT-S with the 2.0T with 265HP, when there is a V-6 250HP
I understand that the 2.0T is more desirable (wieght & chip) but I dont see Audi making a sports version with that similar of an output

this far, the most beautiful image of higher performance tt was once shown in Auto Zeitung magazine:

in september 2006 the french said the TT-RS project is canceled, in order to make room for R8 and S5.
but, i've also heard that the extra-sporty TT used to be Dr.Winterkorn's most favourite project and since he still can influence the processes in Audi, i hope they'll make it as good looking as in that picture linked above, with specs more similar to TT clubsport quattro, rather than the ones of S3. i even don't think there should be TT-S and TT-RS, one sporty TT with 300+hp (either from R4 2.0T or I5 2.5T), rear-biased-quattro-for-winter-fun and DSG/manual option should work fine for everyone.
just like i cannot see the need for A3 cabriolet, does audi really have to compete with peugeot's little coupé-cabrios?
anyway, looking very much forward to frankfurt 2007. considering the launch of RS6, V12 Q7, B8 A4, quite possibly Q5, and hopefully high end TT, it should be quite a diamond storm in september.
