In the beginning there was the vision of a super sports car with outstanding road performance, combining style and functionality. A purist vehicle offering a unique driving experience on the road and the potential of succeeding on the race circuit. Furthermore a price that cannot be matched by any other car in this exclusive class. This vision of a unique sports car was the hour of birth for the Apollo.

I don't get this. If you release extra air into the low pressure area, then you are working against the ground effect, no? How does this work?
Seems like they calculated just how much air there needs to be, and diverted the rest, instead of dumping all of it in the same place. Shows how much science is behind this car.

your not shooting into the low pressure area, you shooting it behind it, once the air leaves the underside of the car it does nothing for downforce, on the contrary, you need to fill in the hole left behind by the car,

they use it with long range artillery shells, they have a canister of some gas or compressed air and it just releases behind the flat shell bottom

Whats with that shifter? Why is it so tall? (looks annoying)

Otherwise it looks like a damn nice car.

I would assume so you don't have to move your hand as far when racing.

I think the idea is kinda like the Carrera GT. The shift knob is at the driving level, minimizing the distance between the steering wheel and shift knob.

It's the one from the RS6. They have been testing 1000hp versions. 650hp/850Nm is the base model spec.

    MTM does the engine work.

Yes, like most sequential shifters in racecars, like this GT3 RSR:

I know this is a minor quibble, but how hard must it be to reach that radio?! I'd probably be listening to the motor, but sometimes its nice to have some tunes.

Well you'd obvisouly have a nice looking member of the opposite sex as the designated co-driver for minor problems like that

And when weight savings mattered, like at the race track... you wouldn't need the radio anyways.

Obviously Ferrari did not think of this "after thought" when they made the Enzo.

looks like a great place for a shifter in a race car. and it probalby moves a fraction of an inch to change gears.

Ahhh.... heh, I'm an idiot for not even thinking of a sequantial. I don't like it, I'd much rather have a 6 speed manual.
