Lake Las Vegas, NV – It’s rather fitting that Audi chose the Italian-inspired community of Henderson on the shores of Lake Las Vegas as the venue to launch their new S4 Cabriolet. Vegas weather in April is temperate and calm; perfect top-down weather. The landscape is beautiful and nearby Valley of Fire State Park is home to rocks almost as red as the Audi Sport swoosh adorning the grille of any Audi S-Car. Splendid back drop and weather for sure, but it’s the personality of the place that is so fitting for the S4 Cabriolet.

My boss just got his last week... Red. He had it on order over a year ago. He has a car on average about 3 months and then gets a new one! I could only dream! I saw it in Detroit last January too, but seeing it out in the parking lot is better!

hmmm, why does it not have the S4 bumpers? It looks just like the A4.... still looks good, but not even half as mean as the sedan... with all that power and handleing I'd want it to stand out a bit more, looks wise.

BMW M3, boy racer???? I never put the M3 in that class. . . though I will admit that more boy-racers aspire to the M3 than they do to the S4. Maybe that's what he meant.

At any rate, I love that S4. I was skeptical about giving up the twin-turbos, and I still prefer the boosted engine, but he hit it right on about the exhaust note. I test drove an S4 and it was breathtaking. . .

I would love to cruise through the desert with the top down in an S4.

Over here, BMW 3-Series/M3 represents the expensive side of "boy racer" while Impreza represent the less expensive side.

WORD. M3 is a boy racer here too. I totally realize there are good M3 drivers too...but the image has been shot. My dad had one of the first e46 3 series coupes in the US. It was class, style, and people stared. Now evryones got one, including those not worthy. On the topic...SO NICE. I love it. Anyone wanna buy my GTI for 50 grand so i can get one??

That thing is sweet. Audi sure does make a nice looking convertible.
This makes so much more sense than an M3 convert, at least for it's intended purpose.

When E46 first debuted in 99, its style looks really classy and elegant. After all these years + fugly facelift, it looks so boring cause everyone "lease" one. Here in Canada, we even got a 320i with manual A/C.

too bad the performance figures of this new S are not very impressive. an M3 will run around in cirlces around this car... E46 OR E36 for that matter.

BMW rags will never compare with a cabrio quattro on drive and here in Toronto, Bimmers are a dime a dozen anyway. Less than S4 100 cabrios and 300 sedans will be seen in the Great White North as well.

The S4 is beautiful as a drop top and nothing beats the stealth power of a V8 Audi.

and Audi's are rare? Come on.
Anyways, you don't need quattro in Toronto, when it snows you call the army.

Audi S-cars are rare, unlike BMW Ms which every boy racers have one in Vancouver.

I saw some babe in a black S4 cabrio the other day. Car looked and sounded HOT. Need a lot of money.

S4 Cabrio? Well I guess since there has been an M3 Conv. Audi had to step up?

Audi expects to sell 6,900 S4 Avants and 4,000 S4 sedans in the U.S. this year, while only 70 S4 Avants and 300 S4 sedans in Canada? Something doesn't seem quite right about those numbers... I thought Americans would favor the sedan while Canadians the Avant. And it seems the Canadians are getting screwed with only 70 Avants for the whole year.

No, I think it's a typo. I need to check my notes.

    Sorry about that.

Yes, in Toronto S4's are RARE. I bet even rarer in Montreal.

Yes, you need quattro anywhere - rain, dust, snow, marbles - quattro handles them all. Ever seen them race???

    You should know that!

    Cheers

Population of Canada = 32.2 million
    Population USA = 290.3 million.

Makes sense to me. California alone has about 36 million people.
